The Orlando Games matchup between Clarkstown North and Clarkstown South turned into an unforgettable night, as the Rams pulled off a dramatic 56–50 comeback victory, highlighted by a buzzer-beater and a dominant overtime performance.
Clarkstown North came out slow and trailed for most of the game. Missed layups and wasted opportunities hurt the Rams early, while Clarkstown South controlled the tempo and played with confidence. South’s defense was all over the Rams, disrupting their rhythm and keeping the Rams searching for answers as the game wore on. Then the fourth quarter arrived– and everything changed.
Coach Amparo ignited his team, and Clarkstown North responded with urgency and intensity. Jack Kavanagh took over in the fourth quarter, attacking the basket relentlessly and playing fearless, no-regret basketball. With every possession carrying weight, Kavanagh led the charge and refused to let the Rams fall.
At the same time, Kyle Kirkland knocked down several clutch three-pointers, each one cutting deeper into South’s lead. The Rams were creeping slowly but surely closer with each shot. Momentum swung rapidly, the crowd got louder, and belief returned to the North bench.

With 6.0 seconds remaining, Clarkstown North trailed by three. Clarkstown South went to the free-throw line with a chance to seal the game, but the shot rattled off the rim. Rotimi Esiso secured the rebound and raced up the court as time ticked away. Finding space in the corner, he rose for a three– and as the buzzer sounded, the shot went in. The gym erupted as Esiso’s shot tied the game and sent the Rams to overtime.

Once overtime began, it was all Clarkstown North. The Rams dominated on both ends of the floor, outscoring South and closing out a 56–50 win– one of the biggest comebacks in recent North history.
The victory will go down as one of the best games Clarkstown North has played in the past five years, a true Orlando Games classic powered by heart, confidence, and unforgettable clutch moments.
