As the winter season begins, Clarkstown is making its mark across multiple sports. Clarkstown teams have begun their seasons with strong performances, setting a strong tone for their seasons ahead. This winter spotlight highlights updates from gymnastics, boys hockey, and girls hockey
Gymnastics
Clarkstown gymnastics officially started their season on Monday, December 8th with their first home meet. This team competed against Tappan Zee and Somers, finishing strong in second place in this competitive three-way meet. Clarkstown ended up placing second overall, with Tappan Zee taking first and Somers in third. Just a few days later Clarkstown gymnastics had their first away meet at Mahopac, where Clarkstown earned another second-place finish, with Tappan Zee placing first and Mahopac placing third. With such competitive early performances, we can’t wait to see the progression of the season.

Boys Hockey
The Clarkstown boys hockey team started their season with their home opener on December 3rd, which was against Mamaroneck; however, they fell short, losing (1-4). The team followed that game with an away game against Pascack Valley on December 5th but in a competitive effort ended up losing (5-7). Despite these early setbacks, the team has shown determination and resilience and will be looking to turn things around as their season progresses.
Girls Hockey
Girls hockey has also been busy early in the season, having many home and away matchups. Their team opened on December first with a home game against East Green Wave before taking on their first away game of the season against the Morristown Bears. With a couple more additional away games, they round out a challenging start to the season. The girls’ hockey team is focused on building consistency as their season progresses.
