
Girls’ Lacrosse
The girls’ varsity lacrosse team had a strong start to the 2025 season, opening with a record of 5-5. The team did not let down while facing the second half of their season and facing off against three top ten teams in section 1. In their game against Pearl River on April 28, the team trailed far behind heading into the second half. Though they did not secure the win the team fought till the very end and scored six goals in six minutes ending with a final score of 10-12.
On senior day, May 7, the team celebrated their 10 seniors with an amazing win against Ossining. The final score was 18-13 and every senior earned a goal in the game. Going into the playoffs, the Rams were tied for the 6th seed with a final season record of 7-9. The team fell short to very talented Lakeland/Panas in the first round of playoffs.
In JV news, lacrosse player and goalie, sophomore Regina Chazan hit 100 saves in JVs last game of the season.
Girls’ Softball
In a challenging class with almost 20 teams, girls’ varsity softball ended the season ranked twelfth with a record of 11-9. The Rams had an ultimately strong and successful last half of the season with big wins over Suffern (2), Mount Vernon, Nyack, and Nanuet. In their games against Suffern they won 14-1 and 16-3. Siena Deccico also became the newest member of the “100 Hits” club, in the team’s face off against the Mounties. On 5/12 the Rams celebrated their only senior, #11 Maddy Smith, and played Nanuet to a big 5-4 win. On 5/22 they played in their first playoff game against the number 5 seed, Saunders, and came out on top, as the 12th seed, with a 5-0 win. Their season ended on 5/24 against the Ursuline Koalas who were the 4th seed.
The team also earned many honors this season. Freshman Peyton Conti received all section and all league. She had a total of 35 hits and a .449 batting average. Junior Siena Deccico received all section honorable mention as well as all league. This season she scored 32 runs and had a .484 OBP. Finally junior Marlee Levin had one of the best seasons North has ever seen. She received the all section award, all league and was the 2025 league player of the year. She had 35 hits, a .493 batting average, and an outstanding 13 home runs- leading her to being the home run leader in NY state.
Girls’ Flag Football
At the end of the season, the girls’ flag football team had 4 wins. Going into the playoffs as the 8th seed, the team really showed what they had to offer. In their first playoff game they beat North Rockland 7-0, in a final quarter touchdown. Clarkstown South’s Ella Yomtov had a 80 yard pick six to give Clarkstown the lead. Maddie Gilden, Sarah Weissman, Claire Riordan, Emily Savedoff, and Taylor Jacobs all had outstanding effort put forth on the defensive side of the game. They lost to Scarsdale in the quarter finals who went on to win the section final.
Boys’ Baseball
Ending the season with an overall record 8-11 and seeded 9th out of a 17-team bracket, the North varsity baseball team had a tough 0-1 loss against Tappan Zee in the first round of playoffs. But earlier in the season the Rams defeated TZ 9-3. JD Santulli threw a complete game- striking out 10 while only giving up 2 earned runs. Santulli also went ¾ and had 3 singles. Also in this game sophomore Connor Mullin went ¾ and had 3 singles. Additionally, Jack Kavanagh had a huge RBI triple. Following this big win, the Rams went on to defeat Harrison 16-7. Aiden Conti significantly contributed to the win throwing 3 ⅔ innings of relief, giving up 2 runs, 1 earned. Brenden Epstein added a 2 run HR and Jack Kavanagh went ⅔. JD Santullui won Lohud player of the week following his performance in these two games. They also picked up their final win of the season against Fox Lane, winning 8-4. Jack Kavanagh’s huge hit in the 6th inning contributed to 3 runs. The team ended the season with an overall league record of 5-5.
